One of the things we’ve always believed in at OUTCO is that it’s the people who matter, and our team continues to reflect this core OUTCO value. You can have all the marketers and salesmen in the world, but if you don’t have experts that knows the subject matter inside and out – and above all from an operational ‘salt of the earth’ point of view with actual experience of the job at hand – you’re nowhere. So in this article we focus our attention on just some of the core team that makes OUTCO what it is.

Steve Webb – Commercial Director

Steve has held various positions within the company, including commercial, contracts, compliance and operational roles, working his way to his current role as group commercial director.

Previously Steve worked in both the rail and civil construction industries in various leadership roles, leading teams of people.

Steve is one of our people for the commercial side of winter services, making sure that we can give you a price that guarantees the services you need at the temperature activation that’s right for you.

David Moretta – Surfacing Director

David is responsible for surfacing operations across the UK. David brings a wealth of construction experience to OUTCO and assists our Regional Managers in providing a value engineered solution to our clients.

Previously a Foreman, then Supervisor, then Contracts Manager, then Operations Manager at Aggregate Industries, Dave is notorious for the thoroughness, detail and thoughtfulness that he brings to planning and executing infrastructure and surfacing operations meticulously according to customer requirements.

Keith Ferris – Drainage & Specialist Coatings Director

Keith is responsible for our drainage function, working closely with the day-to-day people and teams that make our projects possible.

Keith runs the strategy and operation of this function from the ground up. Keith and his team of people boast over 20 years of drainage experience.

Working around the construction industry for over 25 years, split between plant hire and drainage, Keith brings a wealth of experience in managing large teams to make sure that they produce their best work for the client.

Brendan Aherne – Winter Services Director

Brendan started his winter facilities management journey in 2008, where he developed a passion for making sites safe and delivering the high-quality professional service that clients rightly expect, even in the most challenging conditions.

He became regional manager of Scotland in 2009 and oversaw significant growth, whilst successfully managing the operational teams through the worst winter in nearly 100 years! Promoted to Regional Director in 2014, he continued the region’s expansion, managing an acquisition and building a nascent grounds maintenance business.

In March 2021 Brendan was appointed Managing Director of winter services for the group, and together with his team, they are the most experienced winter compliance management team in the UK.

Mark Hogan – Grounds Maintenance Director

Mark Hogan leads our Grounds Maintenance division, he is Horticulturally trained and has over 35 years’ experience in the environmental services sector, providing commercial grounds maintenance, waste, environmental cleansing, and associated outdoor services within both the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining OUTCO in 2020 Mark previously worked within many of the UK’s leading service companies and national Grounds Maintenance providers, amassing an encyclopaedic  wealth of industry knowledge and extensive experience in developing and leading customer focused solutions that enhance the environment and add real value.
